is sent, can people see who else is receiving it?
No, there is no mention whatsoever
in the emails that are sent of any of the other recipients.
Having signed up for your newsletter it is unlikely
that those receiving it will think it a unique one-to-one
message, but for all intents and purposes, it will appear
that way.

During holiday times people spend less
time in front of their computers and don't check their
email as regularly.
They may get your message on their return, together
with a ton of other mail that has piled up during the
time.
Chances are everything but the most important messages
will be deleted without a look.
